Through KGlobal Group, community donations and general support have been transformed into practical solutions that empower youth entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses. One of the most impactful outcomes of this support is the work of Ikimina Online Society (IOS), a KGlobal Group initiative that organizes young people into savings-based entrepreneurship groups.
In Kamonyi District, Northern Province of Rwanda, IOS has supported small groups of young farmers—especially young women—to move from informal farming to structured, climate-smart hibiscus agribusiness. Using contributions raised through general support, IOS facilitated basic training, group coordination, and startup inputs that enabled youth to collectively invest, produce, and sell hibiscus using environmentally friendly practices.
By combining traditional Ikimina savings systems with green agriculture and market linkage, these youth were able to generate income within months, strengthen financial discipline, and reduce environmental harm. This approach demonstrates how community-backed support can unlock green entrepreneurship, dignity, and resilience at the grassroots level.
